13th Annual Holiday Lighted Creek Crawl
Saturday, December 6, 2025 — Deep Creek, Newport News
Every December, Deep Creek comes alive with twinkling lights, festive music, and the unmistakable glow of holiday spirit reflecting off the water.
Now celebrating its 13th year, this event brings together boaters and spectators for an evening of holiday magic in Deep Creek. Participants from the James River Marina, Deep Creek Landing Marina, and Warwick Yacht and Country Club are invited to deck their boats in brilliant holiday displays.
The parade will begin at 5:00 PM, as the decorated fleet makes its way around Deep Creek in a counterclockwise direction, passing each of the three marinas, creating a continuous loop of color and cheer. Boaters should tune in to channel 68 for coordination and updates throughout the event.
Each marina is also encouraged to host their own viewing party for their guests, turning the entire creek into a celebration of holiday spirit.

The Holiday Lighted Creek Crawl has always been about more than just lights on the water. It’s about tradition, friendship, and pride in our waterfront community. What makes this event even more meaningful is the collaboration between local marinas and our boaters who give their time, creativity, and energy each year to make it possible.
